Psittakos shawl / Le châle Psittakos

Have you noticed how when you knit a lot of Ravelry patterns, you tend to give names to your clothes? I'm always like "I'm going to wear my Aibrean today" or "My Merlot would go really well with this outfit"!! Us knitters must sound like mad people!
Anyways…
I wanted to show you the shawl I've knit for my mother-in-law (she's very knitworthy, that's why you often see her around here!). It was a Christmas gift that I started in october (and finished in time for Christmas) as part of a knit along organised by the designer, Melina from In a panda's world. You could buy the pattern and the yarn as a kit from the indie dyier Candy wool. 
The Psittakos shawl is very easy to knit, you only have short rows and easy-peasy lace to deal with. Other than that, it's garter stitch. A little too much of garter stitch for me! I find that a bit monotonous. But the pattern is great and makes for a big shawl.
The yarn is 100% merino and on the light side for a fingering weight, it's really soft and the colors are amazing.
All in all, my mother-in-law loved it, she thought it was a very original design and extremely soft. YAY!

Vous avez remarqué comme on a tendance à appeler nos vêtements par leur petit nom quand on tricote beaucoup de patrons Ravelry ? Je dis souvent "Tiens, je vais mettre mon Aibrean aujourd'hui" ou "Mon Merlot irait bien avec cette tenue" !! Nous, les tricoteuses/eurs, on doit avoir l'air un peu dingues des fois !

Je voulais vous montrer le châle que j'ai fait pour ma belle-mère (elle sait recevoir les cadeaux tricotés, c'est pour ça que vous la voyez souvent par ici !). C'était un cadeau de Noël que j'ai commencé en octobre (et terminé à temps pour Noël) dans le cadre d'un KAL organisé par la créatrice, Mélina de In a panda's world. On pouvait acheter le patron et la laine dans un kit chez la teinturière Candy wool. 
Le Psittakos est facile à tricoter, il faut juste maîtriser les rangs raccourcis et une dentelle hyper simple. À part ça, c'est du point mousse. Un peu trop de point mousse à mon goût, même ! Ke trouve ça assez monotone. Mais le patron est top, et donne un grand châle.
La laine est 100% mérinos et assez fine pour une fingering. Elle est très douce et les couleurs sont superbes.
Au final, ma belle-mère l'adore, elle a trouvé qu'il était très original et extrêmement doux. YOUPI !
