Annabelle's foldover clutch / Le sac d'Annabelle

A couple of weeks ago, I flew to England to visit a very good friend of mine from Uni (from looong ago!). I know she loves bags and everything shiny, so I tried to incorporate both in a handmade present.
I used a free tutorial by Frénésie et moi, a bird quilting fabric and a shiny golden faux-leather.
I'm glad because I'm getting better at bag-making, and also, my friend liked it, which is all that matters!

Il y a 2 semaines, je suis allée en Angleterre pour voir une très bonne amie de fac (ça remonte !). Je sais qu'elle adore les sacs et tout ce qui brille, alors j'ai essayé de rassembler les deux dans un cadeau fait main.
J'ai utilisé le tuto gratuit de Frénésie et moi, un coton à quilter oiseau et un simili doré kibrille de chez Les Filles s'embobinent, une super boutique de laine Phildar, tissus et accessoires pour faire des sacs qui se trouve à Neuville-de-Poitou (Vienne).
Je suis ravie, car je trouve que je m'améliore à coudre des sacs, et surtout, ma copine l'a aimé, ce qui après tout est l'essentiel !

I changed the pattern a bit and put 2 sets of D rings on the sides, so you can move the handle around if you want to use the bag as a foldover clutch oras a normal bag if you need more space.

J'ai un peu dévié du patron et j'ai mis 2 jeux d'anneaux en D sur les côtés, donc on peut déplacer l'anse si on veut utiliser le sac en pochette avec rabat ou en sac normal si on a besoin de plus de place.

There's a zipper at the top and a snap, so everything is secure, whether you wear it as a clutch or as a bag. I didn't use anything fancy for the lining as I didn't want to go overboard! I had a feeling a busy print and a shiny faux-lether were enough!

Il y a un zip en haut et un fermoir magnétique, comme ça rien ne peut tomber, qu'on l'utilise en sac ou en pochette. J'ai choisi une doublure toute simple, pour ne pas en faire trop. L'imprimé coloré et le simili kibrille, c'était assez, je crois !

If I were to make it again, I'd fix the D rings more securely (one came off after a few days of use) and I'd interface the cotton fabric because it's a bit too light compared to the faux-leather. Other than that, it's a good pattern and a good size!

Si je le refais un jour, je couserai plus solidement les anneaux en D, (l'un d'eux s'est décousu après quelques jours d'utilisation) et j'entoilerai la partie en coton car elle est un peu trop fine par rapport au simili. Sinon, c'est un super tuto, et la taille du sac est très pratique !
