The story of a dress 1/2/L'histoire d'une robe 1/2

My friend Marie (her again!) fell in love with a Claire McCardell vintage dress she had seen on the Internet. But the dress wasn't available anymore and she asked me if I would make it for her. And so the story begins…Claire McCardell was an American fashion designer who made ready-to-wear clothes for women between the 1930s and 1950s. She was famous for her easy to wear comfortable pieces. Manège culottes/Jupe-culotte Manège

Quite a while ago, my friend Mary had fallen in love with and bought a fabric for me to sew her a pair of shorts she would wear on the beach. It took me a while to get around to sewing it because I just couldn't find the right pattern.
